Formica Countertops

Greetings Jazzwagon,

Sorry to hear about your dilemma, but I do have a suggestion. In researching the color, Chicora Mosaic, I found that neither Wilsonart or Formica have a product with that name.

That being said, simply wipe down the laminate counters with acetone straight from the can. It will take off the film, evaporates quickly and leaves no residue. I’d use a clean white towel or old tee shirt. You can find acetone in the paint department of your local hardware or home improvement store. Bear in mind that acetone is highly flammable, so use caution while applying with this product as well as the towel or rag used to apply it until the acetone has evaporated.
