Three things…first thanks! Second, I should have mentioned that when I tested the wiring, I had turned off the breaker switch at the panel, so I was assuming rightly or wrongly that there should be no power to that device. Third, I had available to me at that time three DVM’s… two Wavetek’s and one one Greenlee (DM-20)… the reason for three is that I could not believe there was a charge on the line…so I went to get another one (borrowed)… and found the same result on all three. Should there be a spurious charge on a line when there is no power connected to it???? Thanks Pat
