Dried paint on hardwood Floors

Old hardwood floors often have years’ of paste wax buildup which makes removal of paint drips relatively easy to remove, depending on the size of the spot. Have you tried to scrape the spot using a sharp single edge razor blade, being careful not to dig into the varnish?
