caulking

I haven’t been able to get latex adhesive caulk to stick to silicone. I’m not sure that you can get new silicone to stick to cured silicone for a water tight seal.
When I get to a recaulking job I often see where the homeowner has tried several times to seal. I take it all out, use bleach if mold is present, dry it and re-caulk.
