We put shower walls around whirlpool and garden tubs. On most jobs I’m on the walls are ceramic but a wall kit should work just as they do for regular tubs. If you care to identify the brand and model of your tub I’ll look it up and refine my recommendation. The tub holes are usually just recommendations and we drill the holes where we want.
Be sure to set the tub in mortar.
