I have the upflow series with the blower motor on the bottom of the unit. All my ducts are in the attic. There is a silver “box” sitting on top of the unit.
I am assuming this is where the coils are???
Is it possible the unit is freezing up and the water is a result of thaw? I always thought that the A/C quit working when a unit freezes… Mine has been blowing cold the whole time.
When we discovered the water last night, we checked the filter and (of course) it needed to be replaced. I turned the unit off, and after replacing the filter, turned the blower motor on for a couple hours. I still have water slowly dripping from the top of the unit this morning.
Again, I am left with my original questions…
