I’ve done almost the exact same thing, except I formed a box to surround the sander, connecting the hose to the box then attaching the other end to a bucket top with about 12″ water in the bucket; a second hose connected to the same bucket going to my vac. this way the dust doesnt clog the filter making a mess in the vacumn, instead it is forced into the water and there it stays… much simpler to clean than the dusty vacumn….!!
