Hi, Shayne. The things like tape and Velcro would never look right. And any glue would tear the paper before it would release from the wood. Nailing will work fine if you learn to gently work the molding away from the wall after cutting through any paint bond with a utility knife. Once you have pried enough to determine nail locations, push the nail thru with a pin punch rather than trying to pull it out with the molding. That is the real secret of molding removal. If you expect to have to remove the moldings, don’t put any filler in the depressions from the nail set. When you are ready to remove, use the pin punch after you have cut the paint line. A pin punch has a constant diameter rather than a taper like a nail set. When you use it, try to leave the nail head a little above the wall to make later removal of the nail easier.
