Yes ,you can add it to another outlet,but you have to be carefull not to overload the circuit.Working with electricity can be very risky,if you have not worked with it before.My best advice is to seek a local handyman. You don’t need an elec.contractor for this job. You can also buy books,{$15.00}at hardware stores to help you out with this, or the library.Be safe, Ron J.
