I am in the process of replacing my 83 steel cased windows with newer ones. The alpine salesman proposes composite vs vynil stating that in this climate (colorado springs, co) composites fare better. I am not so sure especially since I see that most newer homes as well as refits use vynils. I wonder if the extra $100 – 200 does not sound attractive to him
I forget to tell you a very good advice. Choose a model made of pvc uv ray proof and made with many insulating channel. Ask that to your sales rep. Also two lay of glass uv proof is excellent.
