Because a paint stripper will start doing something to whatever paint it touches, it is pretty difficult to use a stripper without it getting on something else as the whole process progresses. And you can inadvertantly get globs of paint and stripper on other parts of the house. You can end up having to spot paint a lot of other areas pretty quickly. A heat gun, a wire brush or sanding all have theirown problems with damaging nearby areas. If it’s just the new color that you don’t like, more paint is a heck of a lot easier and neater than anything else.
